I earned my Master's at the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University specialising in German and Physical Education and I have been teaching PE and German language at various schools since I was a universtity student. I have been working as Head of School at the International School of Brno since it's founding in 2008. I speak English, German, Spanish, Russian and Czech. I am also an active musician, with passion for literature and art.

My name is Mrs. Seema Singh (Ms. Seema). I am from Delhi, India. I have a Masters degree in Education and Political Science. I have been teaching for about 16 years, and it is so rewarding. I have spent my career teaching primary and special needs children in India. I started teaching in ISB kindergarten in 2009. I just love working with the little ones. I enjoy watching their faces as they make connections to the learning around them each day. I am amazed by how much the children I teach actually teach me. Each day in a kindergarten classroom brings new and exciting things. I am honoured to be able to do what I truly LOVE to do.

I’m passionate about creating engaging and supportive learning environments where students feel confident enough to explore, question, and grow. When I'm not in the classroom, you'll find me sipping coffee, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or working up a sweat at the gym.

I am from the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. I obtained my teaching certificate from the University of Cape Town and have recently completed my Masters in Advanced Teaching. I grew up in central and southern Africa, before broadening my horizons and moving to Asia. Before coming to Brno, I was living and working in Hanoi, Vietnam, and prior to that in Seoul, South Korea. I love spending time outdoors and I especially love to hike. I also really enjoy doing yoga, reading, listening to live music and being creative through pottery and sketching. My ultimate aim as an educator is to instil a love for learning in my students as I share my lifelong commitment for learning with them.

Hello! I’m originally from the Great White North aka Canada. This is my 13th year of teaching and my very first year living in Europe, where I’m excited to be the PYP 5 teacher. Outside of school, you’ll usually find me hiking, reading, or planning my next travel adventure. I speak Swahili and English and intermediate Czech language. I am an author of children's books. I have so far published 3 children’s books. I was born in Vyskov, but moved to Brno whne I was young. I did my last year of high school in the United States, where I graduated and then returned to graduate from the Czech system here in Brno. In university I spent time at the Hogeschool van Utrecht in the Netherlands, where I studied and did teacher training. I have a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Masaryk University specialising in Special Education and English Language. I also have a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages specialising in French. When I am not at work, I am with my family. I am a big ice-hockey fan, but I enjoy other sports: volleyball, cycling, inline skating, skiing and snowboarding.

I enjoy learning about how media connects with society and education. Hi! I'm Zayda, and I'm from Nantucket Island, USA. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I spent many of my teenage years volunteering for summer camps and coaching basketball. I went on to study Elementary Education in Wilmington, NC and also Malta, then moved to Brno in 2020 and began teaching at a wonderful Reggio Emilia preschool. ISB has been so amazing, every day I'm excited for the opportunity to be a part of such a joyful and welcoming environment for both students and teachers! In my free time I enjoy embroidering, paddle-boarding, playing scrabble, and tumbling around a soccer field!

Hello! My name is Britney, I am from the beautiful country of South Africa. I completed my studies in Fashion Media, and continued working in the industry after my studies. I had the opportunity to relocate to Brno just short of a year ago, and the opportunity to assist in the kindergarten arose. After finishing my first degree, I made the exciting move to Brno, where I earned my Master's degree in Cultural Sociology at Masaryk University, specializing in displaced student integration. This is my first full-time year at the International School of Brno, and I’m so excited to be the Primary Well-being Coordinator, Year 5 Teaching Assistant, Year 5 EAL Teacher, and to help with the After School Club! I have worked in many international schools, including Cambodia, Russia, Egypt, China and Iran. I also lived in South Africa for a year as a volunteer in a monkey sanctuary as I love animals and working with animals. I think our environment is super important tand this is something I try to always teach the children in my class. I also love arts and crafts like pottery and origami and drama.

Hello, my name is Ms. Barbora Horvatová and I am a Czech native. I grew up in Uherské Hradiště, South Moravia. Then I moved to Brno to study Speech Therapy and I have been working as a Speech Therapist in an ambulance for children and adults since I finished my studies in 2018. I work mainly with children with language and speech difficulties and I am going to provide Speech Therapy sessions for the Early Years and Year 1 students at ISB. I believe that the ability to communicate is extremely important in today's world and I am glad that I can help the next generation to improve it. Hi! I’m Ms Bing. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education majoring in Mathematics from the Philippine Normal University and completed my Master’s degree in Educational Measurement and Evaluation from Miriam College. I am from the Philippines but have lived in several countries, teaching IB MYP/DP Mathematics to Secondary students for the last 12 years. I taught at a Cambridge IGCSE school in Indonesia, and IB Continuum schools in the Philippines, Mexico, Japan and most recently in Albania. I enjoy traveling and meeting people from different cultures, and working with students from different cultural backgrounds is something I have grown accustomed to. I also have a Cambridge Celta certificate and I'm currently studying at Buckingham University as a post-graduate distance student to improve my teaching further. I have spent the last several years teaching in Japan, as well as an international boarding school in the US. I studied to become an Art and English language teacher at Masaryk University in Brno. After that I went on learning different crafts and art techniques, studied a three-year seminar for Waldorf teachers and taught at secondary grammar school in Brno and then in Waldorf school in Kuřim. I have worked in many international schools, including Cambodia, Russia, Egypt, China and Iran. I also lived in South Africa for a year as a volunteer in a monkey sanctuary as I love animals and working with animals. I think our environment is super important tand this is something I try to always teach the children in my class. I also love arts and crafts like pottery and origami and drama.

I earned a Master’s degree from the University of Pardubice, followed by a PhD in Proteomics from Masaryk University in Brno. Early in my career, I worked as a researcher at the CEITEC research center and teacher for university students. I am passionate about science and delicious food. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature with children and have a love for creative activities like sewing, crocheting and gardening.

Hello! My name is Geneva Fink. I’m originally from a small farm in the Great Plains of the central United States. I studied Human Development and Family Sciences with a concentration in Psychology at Kansas State University. After finishing my first degree, I made the exciting move to Brno, where I earned my Master's degree in Cultural Sociology at Masaryk University, specializing in displaced student integration. This is my first full-time year at the International School of Brno, and I’m so excited to be the Primary Well-being Coordinator, Year 5 Teaching Assistant, Year 5 EAL Teacher, and to help with the After School Club! I live here in Brno with my partner, a Brňan, and I love being part of the Draci Brno baseball fan club, diving into a good book, traveling to new places, and hanging out with friends!

Hi! I'm Tereza,but my students call me Miss.T. I'm a psychology teacher with a Bachelor's degree from Masaryk University, Faculty of Arts, and I am currently finalizing my Master's studies in Psychology in Vienna. I was once an ISB student myself and later returned to teach psychology at ISB for almost three years before continuing my studies abroad. I love traveling, surfing, and spending quality time with my amazing partner, friends, and my dog Ollie. I enjoy deep conversations, painting, and good music :-)

Hello! My name is Becci and I am from England, I will be the Service as Action Coordinator for ISOB. Before moving to Czechia in 2024, I enjoyed a long career working in the UK charity sector providing careers and employability guidance, most recently developing a careers learning programme for primary-aged students. I have a degree in Print Journalism and maintain Registered status as a Careers Advisor, I look forward to putting these to good use offering after school activities and career learning sessions in addition to the SAA role. Our family adore living in the Brno region and when we aren't out exploring, I love to read historic fiction and indulge my guilty pleasure for trashy reality TV!
