Little Authors in Action |
Our young storytellers are busy bringing their imagination to life in the How We Express Ourselves unit! Using colorful illustrations and their own words, they’re creating unique storybooks—writing, drawing, and sharing their amazing stories as little authors. |

The Magic of Play |
At our summative share, the joy of play came alive as parents and children explored together! Flying toys zoomed through the air, a toy shop brimmed with recycled creations, charming spoon puppets came to life, and little boats made from corks were proudly launched, floating away with cheers and laughter. It was a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and the pure delight of learning through play. |

Shadow and Light |
The year 7 Art students recently put on a performance of “The Light of Norwuz”, in which the light of the Persian New Year has been lost and is found again. The performance was a beautiful example of storytelling, team-work and global citizenship. |

Diploma Programme Trip to Prague |
The IB Diploma students enjoyed a trip to Prague packed with art and stories that were all a little bit Kafkaesque. They explored DOX and Kunsthalle and actually learned how to interpret modern art. Then they stepped into Kafka’s world at the Franz Kafka Museum, took a powerful walk through history at the Jewish Museum, and ended it all with a gripping performance of The Metamorphosis in the Rokoko theater. |

As we returned from the winter holiday, our community was quickly swept into a flurry of exciting activities alongside a busy exam season. During this fast-paced time, our focus on well-being across the school has been especially important in helping students stay grounded, connected, and supported.
In Primary, students have been focusing on physical health and wellness. Learning has centred around understanding food groups, personal safety, and knowing when and how to call for help in an emergency. These practical life skills empower our younger learners to make healthy choices and feel confident in keeping themselves and others safe.
In Secondary and the Diploma Programme, well-being lessons have explored goal setting and “finding our why,” helping students reflect on motivation, purpose, and personal growth. Alongside this, students have been learning and practising a variety of stress-management and coping strategies, particularly valuable during assessment periods.
Our Buddy Program is now up and running every Tuesday, with members of the Well-Being Mind Matters Club connecting with younger students through thoughtful activities and shared experiences. These sessions continue to build positive relationships, foster empathy, and strengthen our sense of community across age groups.
The Mind Matters Assemblies also remain a meaningful space for students to connect with one another, giving them a platform to explore and discuss topics they care about, in ways that promote openness, respect, and student voice.
We’re also pleased to continue our ISB Parent Community Connections Club, which meets on the last Wednesday of every month. Each month features a new discussion topic, and it is never too late to join!
As always, well-being at ISB is a shared effort between students, staff, and families. Thank you for being part of a community that values care, connection, and balance alongside academic growth. |
