Exploration of Sea Creatures |
Our creative learners explored the mysterious world of sea animals, with a special focus on starfish as their individual inquiry. They made their own salt dough to create colourful starfish which they measured and displayed in their own sea life exhibition. |

Sharing Summatives |
Our independent students proudly showcased their life-cycle projects to their peers and parents. Their knowledge about how living things grow, change and thrive was truly amazing. |

Meaningful Action |
Our students proudly performed at Rock ‘n Help to raise money for the Amal Foundation which is a non Profit Organization supporting “Doctors Without Borders” who are working in various hospitals and health facilities across Yemen in their effort to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Showing empathy and taking meaningful action to support local and global organizations is a key aspect of who we are at ISOB. |

Student-Led Conferences |
It is the time of the year when our students are provided with the platform to lead their own conferences with their parents. During these conferences students reflect upon their learning journey and showcase their current progress and achievements. This is a celebratory moment for our students to also exhibit their ATL skills (Self- Management, Communication, Thinking, Research and Social Skills), all key components for developing into well-rounded individuals. |

Diploma Programme Group 4 Science Project
| One of the requirements of the Diploma Programme is that all students participate in an interdisciplinary and collaborative Science Project. Requiring knowledge from all IB Science subjects, it presents students with a current issue or problem that can be solved by creative, collaborative and scientific thinking. This year, the focus was on food production: “How to maximise the amount of calories that can be produced in 1 square metre of space”. The approaches and solutions could be used in situations where space and resources are limited. |

This month, the Secondary and High School Mind Matters Club focused on “Dealing with Exam Stress and Grief.” As Year 11 students are taking their final exams, various Czech exams are happening, and Year 13 students are finishing their IB DP exams, the students felt this would be a great topic to cover to help everyone set realistic expectations and learn how to respond if they don’t get the grades they were hoping for.
The club shared effective strategies for staying organized, combating procrastination, and other techniques to manage stress. They also discussed ways to cope with disappointing grades and how to bounce back from poor results. This was a timely topic to support the student body.
Next month, the club will focus on dealing with the loss of loved ones, which is another very important topic to cover. | |
Over in Primary this month, our well-being program focused on what it means to be a global citizen and our students brought this theme to life through inspiring, hands-on recycling projects. From creative birdhouses to imaginative toy airplanes, they showcased how everyday materials can be transformed into something meaningful. These projects not only highlighted the student’s creativity but also reflected a growing sense of responsibility toward our planet. It’s been wonderful to see such thoughtful engagement and environmental awareness in action. Our students are clearly developing a deep understanding of their role in the global community. We’re excited to build on this momentum in the upcoming four weeks of school!
