Dear all
The ISB PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is pleased to celebrate its first birthday!
At the usual PTA weekly meeting time of 8:45am on Mondays, next week 30 January we shall be holding the PTA AGM (Annual General Meeting).
The President, Secretary and Treasurer shall present their end of year reports. These post holders shall then - as previously agreed - voluntarily resign and call for nominations for new persons to take up these posts for the next 12 months. Any current ISB parent may put themselves forward for one of the posts of President, Secretary or Treasurer, including previous incumbents. If more than one person puts themselves forward for any post, a vote shall be held during the meeting.
All members of the ISB community are welcome to attend the AGM on Monday 30 January 8:30am. We look forward to another great year at ISB!
Sincerely, your PTA Team
Dear ISB Families,
On Monday, January 16th at 8:30am, you are invited to come and have a look at the new gym. We are very pleased that it is finally open and ready to use.
The PTA would like to wish all students, teachers, parents and families a very happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year.
There will be a CHRISTMAS DANCE party on December 5th at ISB, from 4pm to 6pm.
Please bring some snack, beverage and enjoy the RHYTHM!
Dear ISB Families,
We would like to invite all students, parents and teachers to join us in expressing our sincerest thanks to CEU Servers s.r.o. (a company from Zlín) who donated 23 brand new and fully-equipped computers to ISB.
This remarkable gift will truly change how our classrooms can operate and we are most grateful.
Thank you CEU Servers s.r.o.!
We would like to invite you and your children to the ISB Promotion Afternoon at Bongo on Saturday, November 26. For those, who do not know Bongo, it is a unique indoor fun park where you can have a fun time with your family. For more information, go to http://www.bongobrno.cz/ (unfortunately, there is not an English version but if you view the page with google chrome, it can be translated very roughly).
During the afternoon there will be a short musical-dance programme performed by grades 1, 2 and 3. If your children like running, climbing, jumping, dancing and singing and you'd like to sit and have a cup of coffee with other ISB parents, we are looking forward to seeing you all at Bongo on Saturday, November 26 between 13 and 17 o´clock.
Dear ISB Families,
Many thanks to everybody who participate in the Food Festival yesterday. It was a wonderful event.
Special thanks go to our Japanese community. The tea ceremonies were wonderful.
The PTA want to collect the recipes for dishes made for next week's Food Festival with the view to creating an ISB Cook Book next year. To have your recipe included in the book please put a copy (including a photograph of the finished dish) in the PTA post box in the cloakroom along with your name and country of origin. Thank you.
Dear ISB Families,
Please be reminded that tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, November 3) we are having two separate meetings in the auditorium.
Edookit Parent Portal Tutorial
At 3:00pm, we will be providing a tutorial session for using the edookit parent portal. We will give a brief demonstration as to how to use the portal as well as take questions and suggestions. Mr. Jakub Stepanik, the developer, will be at the meeting to help answer questions and to receive feedback.
Feedback Forum
At 5:00pm, we will begin the Feedback Forum. This meeting is open to all ISB families and is scheduled so late so that working parents can also attend. It is an opportunity for all ISB families to ask questions, provide feedback and voice concerns to the admin team. Please note that Mr. Švihálek will not be able to attend the meeting.
We would prefer that the meeting last not much longer than 1 hour and so to help maximize the time, we will structure it as follows:- We will make a few initial announcements and then take down people's comments, questions and concerns (it is crucial that during this stage of the meeting, we not discuss any of the points).
(Note: if you plan to attend the meeting but are unsure as to whether you will be able to arrive at 5:00pm AND would like to raise a point, please e-mail it to me so that it can be included.)
- After that, we will group the issues and spend some time discussing the more urgent or important ones.
- The rest will be discussed by the admin team, the staff and, if necessary, the PTA in the days after the meeting. If an action plan is required, it will be presented to families on Monday, November 14th.
We very much hope that you will be able to attend the forum. Your feedback is essential to ensuring that ISB is able to meet our mission.
Thank you for your continued support.
